In this copy of the Maryland Manual, for 1938, will be
found much, valuable information concerning the State of
Maryland, including its Charter and Constitution, and the
names of all State and County officials, and members and
functions of the several commissions, boards and other
governmental agencies which have been created. Financial,
educational, historical and political data, as well as other
information of general interest, is also given herein.
Reference to newly elected, as well as present, officials,
has been included in order that this Manual may be of the
greatest possible value.

I desire to express my sincere appreciation to all who
have assisted in compiling the necessary material and
